East Coast College is a well-established further education college based in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, offering fantastic breadth and depth of subjects and technical and professional training to degree level. Recently merged with Lowestoft Sixth Form the College it now boasts an even broader academic curriculum with fantastic progression opportunities to apprenticeships (at all levels) and university. 2Simple have created powerful educational software for primary schools for over 20 years and won over 40 awards. Although they’re based in the UK, they have 2 million users worldwide. Purple Mash is their most popular product. A website filled with creative lessons and activities across 8 subject areas to engage children, and helpful lesson plans and schemes of work for teachers. Another favourite is 2 Build a Profile, an app designed to support formative assessments and capturing observations, reducing workload for teachers. 2Simple have recently introduced their ‘2Simple Well-being’ strand, focusing on resilience and mental health in children. They’re in the process of launching Striver, a platform for P.E and Well-being, created to encourage a love of physical activity and well-being for children, and give teachers the tools and confidence to teach these lessons.
